The planchette, familiar from Ouija boards, has become a prominent symbol of spiritualism, mystery, and the quest for answers beyond the known world. In this piece, it takes on an even darker significance when paired with the moth—a creature long associated with the night, transformation, and an attraction to the unknown. As a nocturnal being, the moth symbolically bridges the divide between light and darkness, serving as a reminder of both transience and constant change. Garnet is a nesosilicate mineral; its most famous varieties are known for their deep red to burgundy hues. Its name derives from the Latin *granatum* (pomegranate), referencing the resemblance between the red crystals and the fruit's seeds. Historically, the garnet has been associated with vitality, blood, passion, and protection.

The piece is handcrafted from surgical steel, using a tin-silver alloy for the connecting elements. Maintenance is similar to that of silver jewelry—occasional polishing is recommended. However, the more the piece is worn, the better; friction against clothing or the wearer's skin naturally polishes the metal. The metal is durable and free of nickel and heavy metals. These pieces can be worn constantly, even in water, though it is advisable to dry them off afterward and polish them more frequently.
