Pendant with red Jasper and pentagram.
3.5 x 3 cm
Red jasper is an opaque, fine-grained variety of quartz (more precisely chalcedony), colored red due to an admixture of iron oxide (hematite). It is a very durable stone, often used in jewelry, sculpture and as a collector's mineral. Red jasper has projective energy, assigned to the planet Mars and belongs to the element of fire. It is a protective stone, reflects negativity back to the originator, calms turbulent emotions, grounds energy, corrects adverse situations, elevates beauty and charm, brings health and strength. It gives courage to fulfill all intentions, helps in resolving conflicts and increases organizational skills. It supports quick thinking and imagination, suppresses desires and whims, and summons happiness.
The pentagram appeared as one of the oldest symbols 4000 years BC. Back then, it did not have the magical and protective meaning it has today; people used it as a symbol of Venus and balance. The symbolism of the number 5 in the number of the star's points goes beyond the symbolism of the number 4, which represents the basic elements. The fifth element in the pentagram is cosmic energy - life. Each point also represents a period of life - birth, maturation, adulthood, aging, death. We use the classic pentagram with the point up for protection and working with positive energy. We can also come across it during initiation and liberation from material things. In general, the pentagram represents spirituality, protection and positive power.
The construction of the jewelry is handmade from surgical steel and the connecting material is an alloy of tin and silver. The jewelry is then treated similarly to silver - we polish it once in a while. The more the jewelry is worn, the better, it polishes itself on the clothes, the skin of the wearer, etc. The metal is stable and does not contain nickel or heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn all the time, even in water, but it is a good idea to dry it and care for it more often afterwards. The jewelry is hung on a braided, cotton cord and secured with an enlargement knot.
