Moonstone is a gemstone variety of feldspar, valued primarily for its subtle light effect called adularescence. When the stone is moved, a milky, bluish or silvery veil appears under its surface, which is created by the scattering of light on the fine layers inside the mineral. It is this changing glow that gave the stone its name - it resembles the light of the Moon captured inside the stone.
In esoteric tradition, moonstone is associated with intuition, sensitivity, inner peace and natural cycles of life. It is seen as a stone of transformation and the ability to listen to one's inner self. Just as the Moon is constantly changing without ceasing to be itself, it can also remind a person that change is a natural part of life.
The Moon has long been a symbol of time, night, changeability and mystery. Its regular cycle has become an image of the constant alternation of growth, fulfillment, decline and a new beginning. Moonstone naturally reflects this symbolism with its subtle, changing play of light.
Jewelry with moonstone can be a symbol of intuition, transformation and inner light.
The construction of the jewelry is handmade from surgical steel and the connecting material is an alloy of tin and silver. The jewelry is then treated similarly to silver - we polish it once in a while. The more the jewelry is worn, the better, it polishes itself on the clothes, the skin of the wearer, etc. The metal is stable and does not contain nickel or heavy metals. Jewelry can be worn all the time, even in water, but it is a good idea to dry it afterwards and care for it more often.
