Ostara
Pendant with three freshwater pearls.
3 x 2.5 cm
A piece of jewelry inspired by a bird's nest with three freshwater pearls carries the symbolism of spring, new life and the return of light associated with the holiday of Ostara. Since ancient times, the nest has been a symbol of safety, birth and new beginnings, while the three pearls represent the balance of body, mind and spirit and the natural cycle of transformation. Ostara, celebrated during the spring equinox, is a holiday of awakening nature, fertility and renewal of energy after the winter period. Its traditional symbols include eggs, nests, birds and everything associated with the emergence of new life.
Freshwater pearls are gradually formed inside mussels by layering nacre around a tiny grain, which makes them a unique natural organic material formed by time and the aquatic environment. Each pearl has its own shape, shine and character. On a symbolic level, pearls are associated with feminine energy, intuition, gentleness and inner peace. The combination of the nest and pearls creates a piece of jewelry reminiscent of the protection of a fragile new beginning, growth and harmony with the natural cycles of nature. The whole acts as a talisman of renewal, hope and the return of light to life.
The construction of the jewelry is handmade from surgical steel and the connecting material is an alloy of tin and silver. The jewelry is then treated similarly to silver - we polish it once in a while. The more the jewelry is worn, the better, it polishes itself on the clothes, the skin of the wearer, etc. The metal is stable and does not contain nickel or heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn constantly and in water, but it is good to dry it and treat it more often afterwards. The jewelry is hung on a braided, cotton cord and secured with an enlargement knot.
