This piece of jewelry combines an ancient solstice symbol with smoothly worked onyx. The circle with four arms and a central point is one of the ancient symbols of the sun and the cycle of life. It represents the change of seasons, the movement of the sun across the sky, the four cardinal points and the harmony between light and darkness. The center of the symbol recalls the inner source of strength and balance, while the arms express the connection of man with nature and its unchanging rhythms.
Onyx is a variety of chalcedony that is created by the gradual deposition of layers of silica solutions in the cavities of rocks. This process takes place over thousands to millions of years and creates a stone with a characteristic structure and extraordinary resistance. Black onyx is valued for its deep, velvety dark color, which evokes the night sky, the earth's depth and silence. Its smooth surface highlights the natural elegance of the stone and underlines its timeless character.
Symbolically, onyx represents stability, perseverance and inner strength. It is a stone of rooting and reminds us that even during life's changes, a solid point can be found on which one can lean. Combined with the solstice symbol, it creates an image of balance between movement and stillness, between transformation and constancy. While the solar symbol expresses the endless cycle of life, onyx symbolizes the strength that persists despite the passage of time.
In the esoteric tradition, onyx is considered a protective stone, which is attributed with the ability to strengthen concentration, determination and self-confidence. It is associated with grounding, psychological resilience and the ability to remain calm even in challenging situations. Its energy symbolically helps to put aside what no longer serves and create space for new experiences and personal growth.
The jewelry is handmade from surgical steel and the connecting material is an alloy of tin and silver. The jewelry is then treated similarly to silver - we polish it once in a while. The more the jewelry is worn, the better, it polishes itself on the clothes, the wearer's skin, etc. The metal is stable and does not contain nickel or heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn all the time, even in water, but it is good to dry it afterwards and treat it more often. The jewelry is hung on a braided, cotton cord and secured with an enlargement knot.
