The jewelry is handcrafted from surgical steel, using a tin-silver alloy for the connections. It requires care similar to silver jewelry—occasional polishing keeps it looking its best. The more the jewelry is worn, the better; it polishes itself through contact with clothing, the wearer's skin, and so on. The metal is durable and contains neither nickel nor heavy metals.
