Strawberry quartz is a delicately colored variety of quartz that gets its pink to reddish hue from tiny mineral inclusions, most often iron oxide or hematite. These tiny particles create fine shimmering structures inside the stone that can resemble strawberry seeds, after which the mineral got its name. It belongs to the group of quartzes that are formed by the crystallization of silica solutions in rock cavities during long geological processes. Each stone is therefore unique in its pattern and color intensity.
