Labradorite is a mineral from the feldspar group, known primarily for its labradorescence - a changing play of light that appears in different shades when the stone moves. In addition to the well-known blue and green flashes, labradorite can also have beautiful yellow, golden and orange reflections. These are created by the scattering of light on the fine structures inside the mineral and cause the stone to show a slightly different face each time. Its warm tones can resemble the light of the setting sun.

In the esoteric tradition, labradorite is associated with intuition, transformation, protection and inner light. In golden and orange shades, its symbolism can also be perceived as energy, creativity and life force.

Labradorite is associated with a beautiful legend originating from Inuit traditions. It tells of the lights of the aurora borealis, which once danced in the night sky and were trapped in a stone. One of the hunters tried to free them with a blow of his spear. He managed to release most of the lights back into the sky, but some remained forever inside the stone. Since then, it is said that when the light falls on the labradorite in the right direction, flashes of the ancient aurora appear.

Labradorite is also associated with a modern legend about the stone, which forms an imaginary bridge between the visible and invisible worlds. Its changing reflections were supposed to symbolize the hidden layers of reality – things that are not visible at first glance, but can be revealed when we look at them from a different angle.
