Hypersthene is a dark mineral belonging to the pyroxene group, characterized by a distinctive bronze-to-silvery luster. It forms under high temperatures and pressures deep within the Earth's crust and is primarily found in igneous and metamorphic rocks. Its characteristic silky sheen is caused by fine internal crystal structures.

In symbolic and esoteric traditions, hypersthene is associated with inner strength, calmness, and self-confidence. It is a stone that feels no need to draw attention to itself; its energy is quiet, focused, and steadfast. It is often credited with supporting individuals when they need to stand firm in their decisions and resist being easily swayed by external influences.

Hypersthene is also linked to grounding and the protection of one's personal space. Its dark color and deep metallic luster symbolically evoke shadow work, intuition, and the ability to view things without embellishment.

The jewelry setting is handcrafted from surgical steel, using a tin-silver alloy for the joinery. Maintenance is similar to that of silver—occasional polishing is recommended. However, the more the piece is worn, the better; it polishes itself through contact with clothing, the wearer's skin, and so on. The metal is durable and free of nickel and heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn constantly, even in water; however, it is advisable to dry it off afterwards and care for it more frequently. The piece is suspended on a braided cotton cord and secured with an adjustable sliding knot.
