I kept the metal bright, without a dark patina, and the piece hangs on a delicate steel chain measuring 46 cm in length, including a 6 cm extension.

Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz; its color arises primarily from traces of iron and natural radiation within its crystal structure. Geologically, it is one of the best-known and most widespread quartz varieties, with violet crystals forming in rock cavities where they have space to develop their characteristic shape. Symbolically, amethyst is associated with tranquility, inner balance, intuition, and mental clarity. Unlike amethyst and pearl, opalite is a man-made glass; its milky, iridescent appearance resembles moonstone or opal, and I chose it for its beauty.

The baroque freshwater pearl forms inside a mollusk through the gradual deposition of nacre layers around a foreign irritant; its irregular shape is a natural result of this process, making every pearl unique. Pearls are traditional symbols of purity, wisdom, femininity, and an inner strength that is forged not in the absence of obstacles, but through the gradual process of overcoming them. In this piece, the strength and stability of amethyst meet the ethereal light of opalite and the organic delicacy of the pearl. The piece is handcrafted from surgical steel, using a tin-silver alloy for the joints. It requires maintenance similar to silver—occasional polishing. The more the jewelry is worn, the better, as it polishes itself through contact with clothing and the wearer's skin. The metal is durable and free of nickel and heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn continuously, even in water; however, it is advisable to dry it off afterwards and maintain it more frequently.
