Raw smoky quartz is a smoky-brown variety of quartz that forms in rock cavities and fissures, where its crystals grow slowly from mineral-rich solutions. Its coloration is primarily due to the presence of trace elements and exposure to natural ionizing radiation during geological formation. In its raw state, it retains its natural crystalline structure, sharp edges, and minor imperfections—all hallmarks of its natural origin.

In esoteric traditions, smoky quartz is associated with grounding, stability, protection, and the ability to navigate challenging times. Its smoky hue symbolically bridges light and shadow, serving as a reminder that even darker experiences are part of life's journey and that one can remain steadfast without needing to flee from one's own darker side.

The jewelry is handcrafted from surgical steel, using a tin-silver alloy for the connecting elements. It requires care similar to silver—occasional polishing is recommended. However, the more the piece is worn, the better; it naturally polishes itself through contact with clothing and the wearer's skin. The metal is durable and free of nickel and heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn constantly, even in water; however, it is advisable to dry it afterwards and care for it more frequently.
