Rainbow obsidian is a natural volcanic glass that is created by the very rapid cooling of lava. At first glance, it appears as a deep black stone, but when light hits it, it reveals subtle rainbow reflections in shades of green, purple, gold or blue. These color effects are created thanks to microscopic layers and tiny mineral inclusions inside the obsidian, which decompose the light. Each stone is thus a unique work of nature, combining the power of earth's fire with the unexpected beauty of colors.
In the esoteric tradition, rainbow obsidian is considered a stone of protection, self-knowledge and inner transformation. Like other obsidians, it is associated with the ability to reveal hidden connections and help release old fears or emotional burdens. Its rainbow reflections symbolically remind us that even in darkness, light, hope and a new perspective on life can be discovered.
The construction of the jewelry is handmade from surgical steel and the connecting material is an alloy of tin and silver. The jewelry is then treated similarly to silver - we polish it once in a while. The more the jewelry is worn, the better, it polishes itself on the clothes, the skin of the wearer, etc. The metal is stable and does not contain nickel or heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn constantly and in water, but it is good to dry it afterwards and treat it more often. The jewelry is hung on a braided, cotton cord and secured with an enlargement knot.
