Anöa
A distinctive pendant with Merlinite.
5 x 3 cm
Merlinite - also known as dendritic opal, is formed by the gradual deposition of silica from mineral-rich solutions in cracks and cavities of rocks. Mineral solutions containing manganese and iron penetrate the emerging structure, whose tiny crystals create branched patterns resembling twigs, roots or ink drawings. It is this natural process that gives each piece its unique appearance.
In the esoteric tradition, merlinite is associated with the balance of opposites, intuition and self-knowledge. Its black and white drawing symbolically represents light and shadow, conscious and unconscious or past and present. It has the ability to support inner balance and help accept even those aspects of oneself that are not pleasant at first glance.
The name merlinite refers to the character of Merlin, a legendary magician known from Arthurian tales. Therefore, in modern symbolism, the stone is associated with wisdom, mystery, magic and the ability to see beneath the surface of things. Its drawing, reminiscent of old ink maps or branches, acts as an image of a world full of hidden paths and stories.
The construction of the jewelry is handmade from surgical steel and the connecting material is an alloy of tin and silver. The jewelry is then treated similarly to silver - we polish it once in a while. The more the jewelry is worn, the better, it polishes itself on the clothes, the skin of the wearer, etc. The metal is stable and does not contain nickel or heavy metals. The jewelry can be worn constantly, even in water, but it is good to dry it and treat it more often afterwards. The jewelry is hung on a braided, cotton cord and secured with an enlargement knot.
